Things you need to know

iPrimus NBN plans cover the following NBN delivery methods:

  • FTTP/H (Fibre-to-the-premises/Home)
  • FTTB (Fibre-to-the-basement)
  • Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC)
  • Fixed Wireless and FTTN (Fibre-to-the-Node)

The service you will receive is dependent on your location. The service is only available to eligible residential customers who are located in the area of an iPrimus NBN enabled area.

If NBN is not fully operational in your area, we enable you to apply for the service at this time. But, we will not process your order until the network is operational. In which case, we will contact you again before we commence supply of your service via SMS or phone call. The delivery of the service is provided to a single point in your house. You may need to undertake your own additional work to make other points in the house.

Prior to installation and connection of an NBN technology, you must obtain a written consent of the property owner/ landlord or relevant third party to install and connect to NBN.

You must provide, upon reasonable notice, access to the site in order to install or repair any of the equipment and for us or our wholesaler to contact you for this purpose. You agree to notify us as soon as possible of any damage caused to the technology associated with the Service.

Actual speeds experienced by individual users may be affected by your location, equipment, the source of your download and the level of internet traffic.

Once you reach the maximum monthly access fee prior to the end of your current billing cycle, your service will be limited to 256/256 kbps for the remainder of your billing cycle. Data allowance includes uploads and downloads. An iPrimus approved NBN-capable modem is necessary. You may buy a modem outright from iPrimus or get an iPrimus-supplied modem at $0.00/ month. Postage and handling fee is $15. If you cancel the service, you must return the supplied modem to iPrimus. If modem is not surrendered, a $130.00 non-return fee applies 30 days after cancellation.

As part of your plan, you can obtain a maximum of five (5) iPrimus email addresses. Each mailbox is 20MB in size and you can send individual emails of up to 2MB per email.

The telephone service provided is internet telephony. Service availability and quality may differ from a standard telephone. The Service does not support some complex features. You need a power supply and handset. It is your responsibility to maintain a backup battery facility. The service may not be appropriate if you or another resident have a disability, serious illness or other life-threatening condition which requires an uninterruptible phone line with access to 000 emergency services. Priority Assistance does not apply to the telephone service.

iPrimus internet telephony is offered on the condition that a customer agrees to waive all his rights under the Customer Service Guarantee for this service. More information about the Customer Service Guarantee is available here and further information will be provided prior to obtaining your agreement to the waiver.

Unlimited calls where applicable and included call allowances are strictly for ordinary residential use. iPrimus Acceptable Use Policy applies. Excludes calls to 13/1300/premium numbers and other special services and call types which are charged at applicable rates. Included values expire at end of billing period, and are not refundable or transferable. All other call types are at quoted rates.

Accounts must be paid through direct debit. If iPrimus allows any other method of payment, a $2.95 non-direct debit fee will apply. You will receive bills online through your iPrimus Account Toolbox. If a customer wants paper bill, a $2.50 charge per bill applies. It is the customer's responsibility to check the terms of any existing contract with another supplier. A customer has the flexibility to move between plans.

iPrimus Standard Form of Agreement applies. If you contract with us to provide the service and subsequently relocate, we may not be able to provide you with the same service and you may incur relocation and/or cancellation charges.

These services are supplied as a bundle and cannot be separated. If you break the bundle, you may lose all services and an early termination fee may apply. An early termination fee of $300.00 pro-rated over the remaining months of your contract will apply. If the Service is cancelled within 5 days of scheduled installation, additional costs may be payable.

Minimum total cost over 24 months calculated as: (Min. Monthly Fee * 24 Months) + Set-up Fee + Hardware Fee + $15 (delivery Fee).

Fibre plans

iPrimus Fibre plans are available to residents in areas with participating third party non-NBN fibre providers, commonly installed in modern greenfield estates.

The service you will receive is dependent on your location. The service is only available to eligible residential customers who are located in the area of an iPrimus participating third party fibre enabled area.

The delivery of the service is provided to a single point in your house. You may need to undertake your own additional work to make other points in the house.

Speeds – NBN and fibre plans

Interface speeds refer to the speed delivered to the technology installed at the customer’s premises. They are not necessarily equivalent to the download/upload speeds you will achieve in practice. Actual download and upload speeds will be affected by many external factors which include the number of end-users using the service at the same time, the hardware, software and software configuration, the connection method within the premises and the type/source of content being downloaded.

ADSL plans

iPrimus ADSL2+ is a high speed Broadband consumer-grade residential internet service. Actual speeds vary and may be affected by your location and equipment, the source of your download and the level of internet traffic.

  • Not available in all areas or to all customers. ADSL2+ is available only to eligible iPrimus residential customers who are located in the area of an iPrimus ADSL2+ enabled exchange. iPrimus cannot at present provide this service on a Fast Transfer or to customers transferring from networks other than Telstra.
  • Available only to customers who have an existing telephone service.
  • No excess data charge – if the monthly data allowance is exceeded the connection speed will be limited to 256kbps speed in the relevant period where the allowance has been exceeded for the balance of a billing cycle.
  • Due to iPrimus Broadband2+ being available to residential customers only, the unlimited data allowance on the ADSL2+ No Worries Unlimited plan is subject to the limitation that it is only to be used for residential (non-commercial) purposes. iPrimus may suspend or terminate a service if a customer is found to be using the services outside the purposes for which it is provided.
  • Data allowance includes uploads and downloads.
  • You need an iPrimus approved ADSL2+ capable modem. You may buy a modem outright from iPrimus or opt for an iPrimus supplied modem at $0/month. Supplied modem must be returned if your service is cancelled. A non-return fee ($130) applies 30 days after cancellation if not returned. See website for current charges. $15 Postage & Handling fees apply
  • ADSL2+ plans are available on a 1, 12 or 24 month contract. If you combine Broadband with an iPrimus home phone plan and cancel or transfer either the telephone or internet component, iPrimus may suspend or terminate both services and you may be required to pay early termination fees and need to re-contract for a standalone service.
  • Bundled price available when you combined selected Broadband plans with an iPrimus home phone plan under a 1, 12 or 24 month contract.
  • Accounts must be paid by Direct Debit. If iPrimus allows you to pay by another method, a $2.95 per bill administration fee applies.
  • Internet customers paying by direct debit will receive bills online through their iPrimus Account Toolbox. Internet customers paying by direct debit who request a paper bill by mail will be charged $2.50 per bill administration fee.
  • As part of your plan you can obtain up to 5 iPrimus email addresses. Each mailbox is 10MB in size and you can send individual emails of up to 2MB per email.
  • You have the flexibility to move between iPrimus ADSL2+ plans without a plan change fee. If you are an existing iPrimus Broadband customer, you can upgrade to iPrimus ADSL2+ for a 1, 12 or 24 month term, without incurring additional set up fees.
  • It is your responsibility to check the terms of any existing contract you may have with another supplier. If you are transferring a service to iPrimus, there may be consequences under an existing contract.

  • We will provide the service at the address which you nominate. If you relocate, iPrimus may not be able to provide you with the same offer and you may incur relocation and/or cancellation charges.
  • Minimum total cost over 1, 12 or 24 months calculated as: 1, 12 or 24x $(Broadband monthly access fee) + (if bundled i.e. with the iPrimus Value home phone plan) 1, 12 or 24 x $29.95 + setup fee (where applicable). Calls, modem + P&H (if required) extra.
  • Should you cancel before the agreed minimum term ends, an early termination fee of $300.00 pro rated over the remaining months of your contract will apply.

Speeds – ADSL plans

The Broadband speed you will receive depends on the service qualification of your telephone line. We will use our best endeavours to give you the best speed possible based on what is available on your telephone line.

High speed ADSL2+ is available in over 60% of broadband exchanges around Australia and will be provided if equipment and location supports the high speed. If these higher speeds are not supported, you will have access to ADSL speeds of up to 1500kbps or up to 8000kbps. Some services located in Zone 1 or Zone 2 may not be compatible with ADSL2+ or ADSL1 due to factors including, but not limited to, line quality, noise and interference, RIM and Pair Gain Systems and line length.

Speed results will be somewhere between the maximum theoretical speed of 20Mbit/s download and 1Mbit/s upload to 1.5Mbit/s download and 256kbps upload. Actual speeds vary depending on location, equipment, source of download, and level of internet traffic . Once the data allowance of the plan is reached, connection speed will be limited to 256kbps for the remainder of the monthly billing cycle.

Fetch TV

Fetch TV service not available in all areas or to all customers. Requires aerial antenna plus a ADSL2+, NBN or Fibre internet service, and premises must have digital free to air reception. Hardware provided whilst service active with iPrimus, $15 P+H per item of hardware. Hardware non-return fees apply.
