Things you should know about iPrimus Mobile Social Plans:
1 Included Call & Text Allowance: Includes use for National Calls (exclusions apply), National SMS and MMS, International SMS and MMS, Voicemail Deposits and Voicemail Retrievals. Use in excess of the Included Call & Text Allowance is charged at the applicable rate. Unused Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable.
Excludes use for National Calls to iPrimus Mobile services connected to the Optus mobile network (see ‘Included Calls to iPrimus Mobiles Allowance’), International Calls, International Roaming and Diversions, calls to MobileSat, Premium and Third Party SMS, Optus Zoo Browsing, Optus Zoo Downloads, Content pack subscription fees, Mobile Data usage, 966 Zoo, Directory Assistance, VOIP services and usage, Premium Video, Operator Assistance, calls to 13/1300/1800/19 or any other premium service numbers, calls to 124 YES (937) which are charged at the applicable rate and anything else not specified in the Included Call & Text Allowance.
2 Included Calls to iPrimus Mobiles Allowance: Includes use for National Calls to iPrimus Mobile services connected to the Optus mobile network, only. Use in excess of the Included Calls to iPrimus Mobiles Allowance is charged at the National Call Rate. Unused Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable.
3 Included Data Allowance: Includes use for Mobile Data. Mobile Data usage includes access to email, WAP services (e.g. Optus Zoo) and Internet browsing directly from your mobile device or by using the mobile device as a tethered modem (via infrared, Bluetooth, cable etc.).
Excludes use for Voice calls, Voicemail, International SMS, Premium and Third Party SMS, Optus Zoo and Third Party content purchases and subscription fees, VPN data usage, data used while roaming internationally and anything else not specified in the Included Data allowance. If you are able to access such services, your use of such services will be charged at applicable rates.
When overseas, International Data Roaming usage charges apply as additional charges. Some data cards/devices are incompatible with networks in some countries. Please contact iPrimus for information on applicable charges and a list of countries iPrimus supports.
Any content downloaded from the Internet or WAP enabled websites, such as ringtones or logos, may incur additional charges from the provider of the content (which will be rebilled to you by iPrimus and payment of which is your responsibility).
Mobile Data transfer speeds may vary depending on the type of device, location and number of users accessing the network at any given time. Usage is counted in kilobytes and includes uploads and downloads. 1024KB = 1MB.
If you exceed your plan’s monthly Included Data Allowance, excess usage charges at the Mobile Data rate of $0.275 per MB (or part thereof) apply. Unused Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable.
4 Social Networking Sites: Mobile Data usage will not be charged or count towards your Included Data Allowance when accessing (within Australia only) certain URLs directly attached to social networking sites specified by iPrimus including Facebook®, MySpace®, Twitter®, LinkedIn™, eBay® and Foursquare™. If a specified social networking site is accessed indirectly charges may apply (examples may include, without limitation, use of a VPN, proxy services, certain browsers or via a third party application or URL). Standard Mobile Data charges will apply for any external links accessed via the specified sites. Charges may also apply if the social networking sites are accessed via tethering.
Use of the Facebook SMS alert service or any other social media alert service are not included as part of the service and will be charged separately. iPrimus may withdraw or change any specified URL at any time in accordance with our Standard Form of Agreement. These features are only available to you if your handset is compatible with the service.
5 National Calls: National Direct Dialled (NDD) voice calls from iPrimus mobile services, connected on the Optus mobile network in Australia, to a fixed line service or mobile service connected to an Australian network (excluding calls to fixed lines or mobiles provided overseas, calls to 18x and Premium Service numbers, calls to satellite phones and such other call types as iPrimus from time to time specifies). Charged in 30-second blocks.
6 SMS: National SMS are text messages to mobile and landline services within Australia. The fixed charge applies to up to 160 characters per message per recipient. Additional text will be charged at the same rate per message. SMS is charged upon origination of a message, regardless of whether delivery is successful or not.
7 International Calls: International Direct Dialled (IDD) voice calls from iPrimus mobile services, connected on the Optus mobile network in Australia, to a fixed line service or mobile service provided outside Australia (excluding calls to Premium Services and such other call types as iPrimus from time to time specifies).
8 Service Provider Charges: Network carriers and the providers of the services may impose additional charges.
9 Premium Services: Content or live advice services which can be accessed via a phone call, messaging service (e.g. SMS/MMS) or mobile data connection (e.g. Mobile Data). Premium Services numbers usually start with a 188x, 19x, 190x prefix or an international access code. Examples of Premium Services include adult services, psychic lines, weather services, voting lines for TV shows, competition lines and high school test result hotlines.
Proprietary network services, such as Optus Zoo, also offer data Premium Services. Examples include news updates, sports and weather reports, ringtones and wallpaper.
Premium Services are barred upon service activation. Please contact our Mobile Servicing Team on 1300 85 85 85 to discuss user access options to these services.
10 Push To Talk (PTT): Daily charges apply once a broadcast has been initiated via PTT. Standard National SMS charges apply when you first register to use PTT. iPrimus reserves the right to set limits on the use of PTT. We currently consider that the use of PTT for more than 150 broadcast minutes, per month, per mobile service is excessive. If you are an excessive user of PTT we may suspend or cancel your access, without prior warning or substitute prevailing plan rates and recalculate charges based on 30-second blocks of usage. To use PTT you must have a PTT compatible handset with the PTT service activated with iPrimus.
11 Handsets & Minimum Term Costs: Only customers with an active iPrimus mobile service may purchase mobile equipment from iPrimus. The availability of specific make/model handsets on particular plans is at the discretion of iPrimus. If a handset has been purchased for $0 upfront, a partially subsidised upfront price, or on a Handset Payment Plan (HPP), it is on the condition that you enter into a contract of a minimum period of 24 months (or other agreed period). If customer has taken an iPrimus HPP it is on the condition that 24 (or other agreed number) monthly handset payments are debited from your credit card as automatic Direct Debit payments each month. If the automatic processing of a Direct Debit payment fails in any month, a Late Payment fee will apply and other credit management action may result.
The minimum total cost over the minimum contract period, is the Social Plan’s monthly Minimum Spend multiplied by the number of months in the contract period e.g. ‘Social 29’ plan on a 24 month contract is $29 x 24 = $696, plus any agreed upfront handset price or ongoing monthly handset payments over a contracted period, plus the cost of any other optional services you select (e.g. Mobile Insurance), plus $14.95 postage and handling.
International Roaming: iPrimus reserves the right to refuse the activation of International Roaming on any iPrimus mobile service which means you may not be able to use your mobile service to make or receive calls while you are out of Australia.
Early Termination Charge: If, during the minimum contract period, the mobile service is cancelled for non-payment or other default, disconnected upon customer request (if we so agree), or churned to another carrier, we will charge you $55 plus the unpaid balance of the iPrimus Recommended Retail Price of the handset and any other equipment included in the offer.
Handsets and other equipment sold to you by iPrimus will be subject to the benefit of manufacturers’ warranties and to warranties compulsorily implied by law.
Plan Changes: During the minimum contract period, you are not permitted to change to a plan with a lower monthly Minimum Spend than your original Social Plan. You may change to a Social Plan with a higher monthly Minimum Spend, without incurring a plan change fee. You may also later change that mobile service back to the original Social Plan, without incurring a plan change fee.
Mobile services with no minimum contract period may move to any other mobile plan providing, eligibility criteria of the new plan is satisfied.
If a plan is changed mid billing cycle, charges will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis, with the new monthly Minimum Spend charged one month in advance. Please note; plan included allowances will also be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. Therefore, if usage (that is eligible for included allowance credits) exceeds the adjusted pro-rata allowance, excess usage charges will apply.
Change of Ownership: If you apply to us to transfer your contract to another person, we will normally consent providing that you are not in default and that the transferee is approved by us and that you each sign such documents as we require.
Direct Debit: A $2.95 administration fee applies to accounts not paid by direct debit.
General: iPrimus Social Plans are available to new mobile service connections only. To connect to these plans you must pass an iPrimus credit assessment and your application must be accepted by iPrimus. iPrimus reserves the right to withdraw or change any Social Plan or associated Promotion at any time. Without limit, we may withdraw it from any user whom we reasonably believe is using it in a manner which we regard as unreasonable or excessive.
Maximum of 3 iPrimus mobile services per customer.
Access to the Optus 3G Network (also referred to as the ‘Optus mobile network’) is only available when the user is in an Optus 3G coverage area with a network compatible handset and iPrimus USIM card. Optus 3G coverage refers to UMTS 2100MHz/900MHz network coverage. Access to Optus 3G single band coverage (2100MHz) is possible with a 2100Mhz compatible handset. Outside 3G coverage areas, only GSM/GPRS service is available (refer to our website for coverage maps: www.iprimus.com.au/PrimusWeb/HomeSolutions/Mobiles/CoverageMaps.htm).
All prices quoted (including ‘Included Allowances’) are inclusive of GST and may vary on your account as some charges are rounded to the nearest cent before GST is applied. iPrimus’ Standard Form of Agreement (SFOA) applies and is available at www.iprimus.com.au. All prices and other terms and conditions are subject to change in accordance with our Standard Form of Agreement.
