Primus Fleet Plans

Primus Fleet Plans offer exceptional value across your entire mobile fleet with low call rates, aggregated call allowances and great savings on fleet-to-fleet and back-to-base usage, to ensure you make the most of every dollar you spend.

Things you should know...

Primus Fleet Plan

  1. Per Second Billing: Applies to ‘Standard’ calls and after first 10 minutes of Fleet Mobile and Back to Base calls only.
  2. Standard Calls: Refers all NDD calls. ‘NDD’ (National Direct Dialled) calls are voice calls from a Primus mobile service (connected to the Optus GSM network) to a fixed line or mobile service within Australia.
    Charges for non-NDD calls (such as calls to special numbers or other services) vary as to applicable rate, billing increments, type and location of calls (e.g. International calls, International Roaming, 13/1300/18/19 numbers, Satellite Services etc.). Contact Primus for details.
  3. Fleet Mobile Calls: Are NDD calls to mobile services on the same Primus customer account and connected to the Optus GSM network. After the first 10 minutes of each call, ‘Standard’ call rates apply. Primus reserves the right to set limits on the use of ‘Fleet Mobile’ minutes and may apply ‘Standard’ call rates to minutes deemed excessive each month.
  4. Back to Base Calls: Are NDD calls to a nominated fixed line service on the same Primus customer account (excluding special numbers or other services such as 13/1300/18/19 numbers). After the first 10 minutes of each call, ‘Standard’ call rates apply. The nominated ‘Back to Base’ number cannot be changed more than once a month. Primus reserves the right to set limits on the use of ‘Back to Base’ minutes and may apply ‘Standard’ call rates to minutes deemed excessive each month.
  5. SMS to Fleet Mobiles: Are text messages (up to 160 characters) sent and received within Australia to mobile services on the same Primus customer account and connected to the Optus GSM network. Primus reserves the right to set limits on the use of ‘SMS to Fleet Mobiles’ and may apply standard ‘SMS’ rates to messages deemed excessive each month. Please contact Primus for details on standard ‘SMS’ charges on Primus Fleet Plans.
  6. Aggregated Call Allowance: Unused portions of Call Allowances included in individual users’ Fleet Plans are combined into an ‘Aggregated Call Allowance’, which can be shared between mobile services (connected to the Optus GSM network and on an eligible Primus Fleet Plan) on the same Primus customer account. Any unused portion of the Aggregated Call Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable into subsequent months.
  7. Mobile Fleet Funds: Can be used only for mobile hardware purchases from Primus at its recommended retail prices and expire 12 months from mobile service contract start dates (or upon early contract termination). On expiry unused funds will be forfeited. Mobile Fleet Funds are not redeemable for cash and may not be available in conjunction with the provision of handsets at subsidised costs.
  8. Contracted Services: The minimum total cost over the term of the contract, assuming you do not exceed your monthly plan call allowance, is the Monthly Minimum Spend x the number of months in the minimum contract term e.g. ‘Mobile Maxi Fleet 40’ plan on a 24 month contract is $40 x 24 = $960.
    If during a minimum contract term a Primus mobile service is cancelled for non-payment or other breach, disconnected upon customer request or churned to another carrier, all outstanding charges + a Disconnection Fee of $55 + an Early Termination Charge (ETC) are payable.
    Contracted services can move to a higher Monthly Minimum Spend plan, but not to a lower one.
  9. General: Offer is only available to Primus credit-approved customers. Customers must also have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and meet Primus’ Business Fleet Plan eligibility criteria.
    All charges and terms are subject to change. All prices quoted in this ‘Terms and Conditions’ summary are inclusive of GST. Primus Standard Form of Agreement applies (refer to www.primustel.com.au).

    Excludes use for Voice calls, Voicemail, International SMS, Premium and Third Party SMS, Optus Zoo and Third Party content purchases and subscription fees, 1300, 1900, VPN data usage, data used while roaming internationally which are charged at the applicable rate and anything else not specified in the included Data Allowance.

    Use in excess of the included Mobile Data Allowance is charged at the rate of $0.50 per MB (or part thereof). Unused Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable.
    Note: Any content downloaded from the Internet or WAP enabled websites, such as ringtones or logos, may incur additional charges from the provider of the content (which will be rebilled to you by Primus and payment of which is your responsibility).
    Mobile Data usage is counted in kilobytes and includes uploads and downloads. 1024KB = 1MB. 1000MB = 1GB.
  3. Free 20 Minute Calls: No charge for the first 20 minutes of calls commenced and concluded between 8pm and midnight from a Primus mobile on the Optus GSM network to any other mobile on the Optus GSM network within Australia (excludes calls to or from satellite phones, including MobileSat).
    After 20 minutes, the applicable flagfall and per minute plan rates apply. It is your responsibility to confirm that the mobile service you are calling is connected to the Optus GSM network.
    ‘Free 20 Minute Calls’ is a special promotion and Primus reserves the right to set limits on its use. We currently consider that the use of ‘Free 20 Minute Calls’ for more than 2,000 minutes per month per mobile service is excessive; we may change this. If you are deemed an excessive user we may suspend or cancel your access, without prior warning or substitute prevailing plan rates and recalculate usage charges.

    Charges for non-NDD calls (such as calls to special numbers or other services) vary as to applicable rate, billing increments, type and location of calls (e.g. International calls, International Roaming, 13/1300/18/19 numbers, Satellite Services etc.). Contact Primus for details.
  5. Handsets & Minimum Term Costs: Only customers with an active Primus mobile service may purchase mobile equipment from Primus. The availability of specific make/model handsets on particular plans is at the discretion of Primus.
    If a handset has been purchased on a Handset Payment Plan, it is on the condition that you enter into a contract of a minimum period of 24 months (or other agreed period) and that 24 (or other agreed number) monthly handset payments are made each month.
    If a handset or other equipment has been purchased for $0 upfront or other subsidised amount, it is on the condition that a mobile plan is purchased for a contract period of 24 months or other minimum period agreed.
    The minimum total cost over the minimum contract period, is the Business Cap’s Monthly Minimum Spend multiplied by the number of months in the contract period e.g. ‘Business Cap 49’ on a 24 month contract is $49 x 24 = $1176, plus any agreed upfront handset price or ongoing monthly handset payments over a contracted period, plus the cost of any other optional services you select (e.g. Mobile Insurance).
    If during the minimum contract period the mobile service is cancelled for non-payment or other default, disconnected upon customer request (if we so agree), or churned to another carrier, we will charge you $55, plus the unpaid balance of the retail cost of the handset and any other equipment included in the offer.
    Handsets and other equipment sold to you by Primus will be subject to the benefit of manufacturers’ warranties and to warranties compulsorily implied by law.
  6. Plan Changes & ETCs: During the minimum contract period, you can change from one Business Cap to another Business Cap with a higher Monthly Minimum Spend, without incurring a plan change fee. You can later change that mobile service back to the original Business Cap without incurring a plan change fee.
    During a minimum contract period, you cannot change from one Business Cap to another with a lower Monthly Minimum Spend.
    During a minimum contract period, you cannot change from a Business Cap to any other mobile plan other than another Business Cap.
    Mobile services with no minimum contract period may move to any other mobile plan providing, the eligibility criteria of the new plan is satisfied.
    If a plan is changed mid billing cycle, charges will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis, with the new Monthly Minimum Spend charged one month in advance.
    Early Termination Charges (ETCs) apply if during a minimum contract term a mobile service (on which a Business Cap plan is provisioned) is cancelled for non-payment or other breach, disconnected upon customer request or churned to another carrier.
  7. Change of Ownership: If you apply to us to transfer your contract to another person, we will normally consent providing that you are not in default and that the transferee is approved by us and that you each sign such documents, as we require.
  8. Direct Debit: A $2.50 administration fee applies to accounts not paid by direct debit.
  9. General: Business Caps are only available to eligible Primus credit approved customers. Primus may, at its discretion, impose a 3 service limit to some customers.
    Primus reserves the right to withdraw or change any Business Cap or associated Promotion at any time. Without limit, we may withdraw it from any user whom we reasonably believe is using it in a manner which we regard as unreasonable or excessive.
    Access to Optus 3G or HSDPA network service is only available with a 3G/HSDPA compatible handset and Primus 3G/HSDPA SIM card, when the user is in an Optus 3G or HSDPA coverage area (coverage maps available here).
    Speeds may vary depending on the type of device, location and number of users accessing the network at any given time.
    All prices quoted are inclusive of GST and may vary on your account as some charges are rounded to the nearest cent before GST is applied.
    Primus' Standard Form of Agreement (SFOA) applies. All prices and other terms and conditions are subject to change in accordance with our Standard Form of Agreement.

Things you should know...

Business Cap Plans – Other Usage Charges

  1. SMS: National SMS are text messages to mobile and landline services within Australia.
    The fixed charge applies to up to 160 characters per message per recipient. Additional text will be charged as a separate message at the same rate.
    SMS is charged upon origination of a message, regardless of whether delivery is successful or not.
  2. MMS: National MMS are multimedia messages (Video, Image, Sound or Text) to mobile and landline services within Australia.
    The fixed charge applies to up to 100kb per message per recipient.

  3. Voicemail: Voicemail deposit rate is charged when a missed call is diverted to the Voicemail service.
    Voicemail retrieval rate is charged when calling the Voicemail service from the mobile service to listen to messages.
  4. Call Forwarding: Call Forwarding can only be set to a mobile or landline service connected to an Australian Mobile Network.
  5. International Calls: Direct dialled voice calls from Primus mobile services connected on the Optus GSM network and located in Australia, to a place outside Australia or to a mobile service provided outside Australia (excluding calls to Premium Services and such other call types as Primus from time to time specifies).
  6. International Roaming: Primus reserves the right to refuse the activation of International Roaming on any Primus mobile service which means you may not be able to use your mobile service to make or receive calls while you are out of Australia.
  7. 13, 1300 & 1800: Network carriers and the providers of the services may impose charges.
  8. Premium Services: Content or live advice services which can be accessed via a phone call, messaging service (e.g. SMS) or mobile data connection (e.g. packet access).
    Premium Services numbers usually start with a 188x, 19x, 190x prefix or an international access code.
    Examples of Premium Services include adult services, psychic lines, weather services, voting lines for TV shows, competition lines and high school test result hotlines.
    Proprietary network services, such as Optus Zoo, also offer data Premium Services. Examples include news updates, sports and weather reports, ringtones and wallpaper.
  9. Push to Talk: Daily charges apply once a broadcast has been initiated via Push to Talk.
    Standard National SMS charges apply when you first register to use Push to Talk.
    Primus reserves the right to set limits on the use of Push to Talk. We currently consider that the use of Push to Talk for more than 150 broadcast minutes, per month, per mobile service is excessive; we may change this.
    If you are an excessive user of Push to Talk we may suspend or cancel your access, without prior warning or substitute prevailing plan rates and recalculate charges based on 30-second blocks of usage.
    To use Push to Talk you must have a Push to Talk compatible handset with Push to Talk settings available by contacting Primus.
