PRIMUS TELECOM APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT TO DRIVE INTERNAL CHANGE

The position will be responsible for ensuring that the systems and processes behind all of Primus’s products and services are operating efficiently and in a way that fully meets customer needs.

Greg Wilson, Managing Director of Primus Telecom said, “We are delighted to welcome Marion to the Primus team.

“Her extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and in business transformation will help us to align our various projects to our strategic needs and to bring new services to market more effectively”.

Ms Macleod previously operated her own consulting business, Core Management Solutions, and also worked for Telstra Mobiles where she held the positions of Head of Strategy & Business Planning, and National Marketing Operations Manager.

“Marion will play a key role in streamlining operational procedures so that we are delivering products that are relevant to the market and doing so in a way that is simple, convenient and cost effective for our customers,” Mr Wilson said.

“This will help to drive internal change within the organisation so that the focus is on our customers, and on ensuring everything we do is aligned to our business strategy,” he said.

Biographical Details – Ms Marion Macleod

Marion commenced her career at ABC Television where she held a number of positions in news, current affairs and drama. She joined Telstra in 1994 as Market Research Manager, before taking the role of National Marketing Operations Manager at Telstra Mobiles. She later became the Head of Strategy and Business Planning in Customer Management before leaving in 2002 to join consulting group, IMR. She commenced her own business, Core Management Solutions, in 2004. Her consulting work focussed on the area of organisational alignment with an emphasis on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of her clients’ businesses.

Marion serves on a number of councils and boards including the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Centre for Adult Education. She holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
