DNS Settings

While it is generally recomended to let your PPP session automatically assign the DNS Settings when you dialup or connect to Broadband; on occasion, (generally for troubleshooting purposes), it may be neccessary to manually specify the DNS (Domain Name Service) settings.

DNS (Domain Name Service) servers provide your computer a conversion between the human language based domain names used by people when accessing the internet (for example - www.primus.com.au), into the computer readable IP (Internet Protocol) Addresses used by computers and routers (such as 210.50.7.4) to transfer information on the Internet.
