Things you should know...
Mobile Data Plans
Mobile Data usage is counted in kilobytes and includes uploads and downloads. 1024KB = 1MB. 1000MB = 1GB.
hen overseas, International Data Roaming usage charges apply as additional charges. Some data cards/devices are incompatible with networks in some countries. Please contact Primus for information on applicable charges and a list of countries Primus supports.
- Subscription Mobile Data plans cannot be used in conjunction with any other Primus Mobile Voice or Data plan that has an included data allowance. This includes BlackBerry Data plans or Mobile Voice plans with data allowance inclusions.
- Mobile Data Allowance: Includes access to Optus Zoo services and browsing the Internet from your mobile device or by using your mobile device as a modem (i.e. tethered modem).
Excludes use for Voice calls, Voicemail, International SMS, Premium and Third Party SMS, MMS, Optus Zoo subscription content, Third Party content and applications, International MMS, 1300 & 19xx numbers, VPN data usage, data used while roaming internationally or anything else not specified as included in the Mobile Data Allowance. If you are able to access such services, your use of such services will be charged at prevailing rates.
Any unused portion of the plan’s Mobile Data Allowance expires at the end of each month and is not refundable or transferable into subsequent months.
Use in excess of the included Mobile Data Allowance will be charged at $0.35 per MB (or part thereof) on 12-Month contracted Mobile Data plans and $0.50 per MB (or part thereof) for Month-to-Month Mobile Data plans.
Note: Any content downloaded from the Internet or WAP enabled websites, such as ringtones or logos, may incur additional charges from the provider of the content (which will be rebilled to you by Primus and payment of which is your responsibility). - Pay As You Go (PAYG) Mobile Data plan: Use of Mobile Data to access the Internet via the handset (Handset Browsing) will be charged at $0.022 per KB. Use of Mobile Data to access the Internet through connecting the handset (via infrared, Bluetooth or cable) to a computer (Handset as Modem) will be charged at $0.0055 per KB.
- Plan Changes & ETCs: During a minimum contract term, you can change from one Mobile Data plan to any another Mobile Data plan with the same minimum contract term without penalty. If you change from a Mobile Data plan to another Mobile Data plan without the same minimum contract term, a $25 Plan Change fee will apply.
Mobile Data plans with no minimum contract term may be changed to any other Mobile Data plan without penalty. If a plan is changed mid billing cycle, charges will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis, with the new Monthly Minimum Spend charged one month in advance.
Early Termination Charges (ETCs) apply if during a minimum contract term a mobile service (on which a Mobile Data plan is provisioned) is cancelled for non-payment or other breach, disconnected upon customer request or churned to another carrier. - General: Mobile Data services are only available to eligible Primus credit approved customers. Primus may, at its discretion, impose a 3 service limit to some customers.
Primus reserves the right to withdraw or change any Mobile Data plan or associated Promotion at any time. Without limit, we may withdraw it from any user whom we reasonably believe is using it in a manner which we regard as unreasonable or excessive.
The service is only available to customers within the Optus 3G/HSDPA or GSM/GPRS coverage area and is subject to network availability. Customers need a 2.5G, 3G or HSDPA network compatible mobile device which is provisioned with the required settings to activate Mobile Data use.
Access to Optus 3G or HSDPA network service is only available with a 3G/HSDPA compatible handset and Primus 3G/HSDPA SIM card, when the user is in an Optus 3G or HSDPA coverage area (coverage maps available here).
Speeds may vary depending on the type of device, location and number of users accessing the network at any given time.
All prices quoted are inclusive of GST and may vary on your account as some charges are rounded to the nearest cent before GST is applied.
