Primus Telecom will build an integrated communications and IT platform for 300 Hungry Jack’s and KFC stores around Australia.
Primus Telecom has been successful in winning a significant Private IP Network deal with Competitive Foods Australia Pty Ltd (CFAPL), the operator of Hungry Jack’s outlets nationwide and KFC stores in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Primus was selected as a result of a strongly contested competitive tender and will build an integrated hybrid ATM/Private IP solution with Quality of Service carried over Primus’s national ATM/IP backbone. Primus’s wide area data network will be rolled out to over 300 CFAPL sites during the course of 2006.
The Primus service is a ‘turnkey’ managed end-to-end solution involving the supply, configuration, installation and management of Cisco hardware nationally.
The solution encompasses real-time 24x7x365 monitoring and Primus network engineering support.
Greg Wilson, Managing Director of Primus Telecom, said “Primus is delighted to be selected for this important project for one of Australia’s most successful and innovative companies.
“This is further recognition of the high grade business services that we are delivering to organisations around Australia. We have been able to develop features and functionality that are contributing to business efficiency, and at extremely competitive prices.”
Joey Butler, National IT Manager, CFAPL and Hungry Jack’s Australia Pty Ltd said: “We were extremely impressed with the standard of the service Primus has to offer.
“They were very competitive with pricing and the overall solution is exactly what CFAPL were looking for. This was a result of Primus working on a personal level with the project leader Dimitri Adriansz (I.T. Manager, CFAPL)”.
Dimitri Adriansz, I.T. Manager, CFAPL said: “Primus Telecom’s personalised and professional approach has helped create an infrastructure that improves our systems and operational integration across our national network”.
Hungry Jack’s Australia is the Master Franchise holder of the Burger King Corporation in Australia and has operated in Australia since 1971. Today, there are more than 300 restaurants throughout Australia.
CFAPL is the franchisee for KFC in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, where it operates 49 stores.
Primus will work with CFAPL to build the network to QoS standards that meet the specific requirements of their corporate and storewide retail environment.
